Christopher (Chris) John Hughes RIP.

I'm Very sad to have recently found out that my old work friend, and City fan, Chris Hughes from the Maesycwmmer and Bargoed area, has passed away.

Some of you older posters might remember Chris posting under the alias "Blazing Saddles".

Chris's funeral is this Thursday 3rd August, 13:30 at Shirhowy Crematorium, Pontllanfraith, Blackwood, NP12 2YT.

Worked with Chris at ACT and we often talked about our beloved Cardiff! Last time i spoke with him was at the Wigan game last season.. at half time he said that was the worst 45 minutes he has seen!!

Christ, that’s terrible news, I worked with Chris at Iceland/Littlewoods, we used to hide on a Saturday afternoon listening to my radio following City, seen him many times over the years down the city.

Was Chris ill?

I knew Chris he was a good friend to me, we used to regularly go to the Cardiff game. Starting off in Napier then to the Ivor Davies. He told me in March that he had a brain tumour and only had months to live.

His son Mark is doing a fundraising bike ride for the Brain Tumour Research in aid of his father Chris. 274 miles in August
