Erol Bulut prepares for final test
Erol Bulut faces his final pre-season test as Cardiff take on Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
The two sides will meet at Adams Park to contest the testimonial match of Chairboys defender Joe Jacobson, who came through the ranks at the Bluebirds academy before going on to enjoy a stellar career in the EFL.
But with the new Championship season now just a week away, the fixture will also give fans an insight into how Bulut plans to line up against Leeds United on the first day of the new campaign,
The Bluebirds boss has been able to have a good look at his new squad during their eight pre-season fixtures so far, with most players getting a good amount of game-time under their belts.
And Bulut admitted during their pre-season tour of Portugal that he was getting closer to nailing down his XI for Leeds, with the game against League 1 Wycombe set to show who he plans to start on the opening day.
EROL BULUT:
"The last game when we play against Wycombe, I will know my team for the opening game at Leeds.”
"I will be more clear who will start the first XI against Leeds away. We have enough time until then to think about it."
