“Close to two New Signings”

Erol Bulut hopes to have two new signings in before the Leeds game on Sunday.

Bulut:

“We are close and are working hard on bringing at least two more players in this week.”
“We know we need a striker and we are working on it.”


The Bluebirds are hopeful of at least one of the deals going through in the coming days, towards the end of the week, with centre-back and central midfield thought to be priority positions. Cardiff are also after a striker, too.

When trying to decipher where City should be aiming this season, perhaps it is worth analysing the current squad compared to the one which helped to stave off relegation last season.

Isaak Davies and Joel Bagan will be sent out on loan once new players are brought in to replace them.


Two players who have played in pre-season are Kieron Evans and Ollie Tanner.

What to do with them?

There is maybe room for one and not both, particularly when you take into consideration there are now nine substitutes allowed on a match day?

Kieran Evans has impressed in the early games, whilst Ollie Tanner did against the Welsh League clubs but has faded since.

Norms, no one outside the inner inner circle currently know any identities but it is thought the centre back is from Fulham, if it comes off...

No real news on Keiffer Moore but no one is denying interest...

If it is correct and the CB is from Fulham like you say I was hoping for it to be Tosin Adarabioyo but it seems he has agreed to join Monaco.

Bassey has just signed for them so that just leaves Kongolo, Ream or Diop (unless Ive missed anyone) that it could be

Just a guess, but I think the defender from Fulham is Terence Kongolo. He spent most of last season on loan in the French Second Tier and he seems to be surplus to requirements.

Would be a decent signing and a huge improvement on Simpson.

He’s had horrible luck with injuries over the last few seasons. If it’s is him, then let’s hope the worst is behind him. I know Simpson has had a decent pre-season, but he’s not good enough for this level IMO.

Tbh I think Goutas is the only decent one we have.

Well if I’m right I know something. If I’m wrong it’s because things have changed.

A mate of mine gives digs to Bournemouth youth players. He said to me Keifer Moore is pretty insistent he stays or will move to Cardiff on loan. Wants to play with Ramsey apparently.

Would be a good signing. Blackburn nearly signed him in January but the papers went in too late so the EFL didn't allow it. Ended up going to DC in America.

Like was said on the other topic, we can only have one loan from any particular club - with Bowler we'd already have one from Forest.

So it would have to be a free transfer for O'Brien which I can't see happening.
