West Brom 'hopeful' of Kaba signing

West Brom are reportedly growing hopeful of beating Leeds United to the signing of Sory Kaba, according to the Mirror.
In the Mirror's print edition today, they write that Cardiff, Watford, West Brom and Leeds are all interested in signing the FC Midtjylland striker.

Cardiff were unable to pursue anything as a fee is required for Sory Kaba.

The Express & Star reported on Monday that the Baggies were interested in Kaba, who scored eight times in 17 games for the Bluebirds last season, as an option for them up front. Now, the Mirror claim The Hawthorns outfit are growing confident.

I'm not sure he's that good tbh his overall play was abysmal,

Not sure he'd fit in the side we have atm. I liked him but he seemed very slow and not the greatest at pressing.

They are or have signed maja. Not sure they are actually interested.
Kaba for me was class, felt he brought alot to the game. In our current team he'd benefit loads due to the players around him.
But I do feel he'd be better in a striker partnership. He'd link up well with another.

Probably get shot down for this

He saved us and I'm eternally grateful! but only what any out and out striker would do. his outplay was questionable, guarding the ball in the outfield like he was stopping the corner and in my eyes not wanting the ball unless he was right in front of the keeper. Robbo would have scored loads if fit. if you could combine Wickham's skill and football brain with Saba's goal scoring ability then he'd be great. again only my opinion.
Excited with what we have this season but an poacher Earnie style is needed. someone hungry for goals. "you shoot, you score"

I’m confused. You end that by saying we need an Earnie type after listing all Kaba’s faults which were Earnie’s faults in reality. Then say we need a poacher which Kaba is.

If you could combine Wickham’s football brain with Saba’s goal scoring he wouldn’t be signing for Cardiff or anyone in the championship.

Watters was an out and out striker and missed a fair few chances start of season.

Strange post to be fair.
