LEEDS UNTIED - Strange activity in the market

Wed Aug 02, 2023 10:13 am

As we approach the start of the season away at Leeds, we all seam to be quite happy about City's activity in the Summer with hopefully a couple of further additions making it a more attractive package for the coming season.

So our first opponents being Leeds having just crashed out of the Premier League, it is noticeable that their activity in the market has been strange. It is also noted that they only appointed their new manager some 3 weeks ago, however the comings and goings show a rather strange pattern. Over the course of the Summer there have been 15 departures with only 2 arrivals. Many of those departures occupied much of their matchday squad last season including some of their star names.

They did make rather a rash of the campaign last year and with some many departures I would question how much of an impression they will make on the championship this season??? So in contrast we go into the away clash on Sunday in a relatively better place so will this be business as usual with City doing their usual double over the Yorkshire side :occasion5: :D

Like I've said before I don't think there's a better time to play them. However good or bad they are they'll be a lot better in 6 wks time.

Definately the best time for playing them. That said I would not be surprised if they struggled in the first season like villa did years ago

Who was it that tied Leeds United up in the first place?

Maybe a complete culture change and remove the players going through a bad run and used to losing week in week out?

They must be in transition, but so are we, hard to know what to expect.

Probably a good time to play them agreed, but still a tough match the favourites to go up as Champions.
