Like the beginning of every season we are all full of anticipation .


Clearly Erol Bulut is going for the older experienced players .

I can’t see more than two from the youth team …if that ….in the starting setup .

To be fair to Bulut he has really looked at all our 18,19,20,21 and 22 year olds and so far I see Bulut feeling that the majority are just not good enough as regular starters.

Those at 20, 21,22 for me should of made the first team squad as regulars by now if they are really going to make it.

Happens at most clubs, besides, if any of ours show real promise at an early age the big clubs take them.Thats why long term we need a Cat A academy.

I think a lot of blame rests with Darren Purse for the recent failure of our younger players. However, I wouldn't entirely place that failure all at his door. The senior squad over the past two years have been disastrous and a rotation of managers hasn't helped either. Its hardly been an encouraging place for young players to start. It's also worth pointing out that some of our best talent has been creamed off by premier league clubs too. The Colwill brothers are still our best hope for players to break through.

It is worrying that we might be lucky to get one of our local / Accademy players that might start in the first team in the coming weeks.

Bulut has had 9 matches and 5 weeks to study them.

It’s sad after the last few years of the Media and the Board saying we had some much talent in the Under 21’s, they’ve just got lost and moved out to lower leagues.

Academy status is the biggest problem. Big clubs steal all potential. Set up is corrupt

Correct many have said it, the local media for the last 3 seasons have said they were still young and all future stars, well they are all now 20,21,22,23 & 24 years old, most have been cleared out, some are once again out on loan, some still here, NO Clubs have stolen or bought any of the ones we are talking about, it is a worry.

For me they are not kids anymore and their chances of making it now are very slim.

U say its our coaches or they were not good enough all longhand it was the hype.
