Josh Bowler, why did you sign him?

His qualities, one-v-one, he is really good. He can dribble inside, assist, crosses, shots. His main skill is one-v-one, so in our games when we have our wingers wide we want from the wingers to go for one-v-ones and he is good in that. He showed also in previous years in the Championship he has very good quality.

We had a good pre-season. We played nine games, friendlies, some of them were good, sometimes for 45 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes, but this is normal.

Generally with the pre-season I am satisfied. We got six new players in. Some came a little bit later, so they have to still adapt to the team.

Fans are excited, Ramsey returning, how is his fitness?

When we signed him three weeks ago he played already two games with the national team. He didn’t have long away from the training sessions, he was still training (with Wales). He needed free days with the family for holidays. But he was always training with his personal trainer.

Right now his physical condition is good. We can plan with him for the first game.

His best position?

Like I saw against Armenia, he was playing more of a 6 than an 8 or 10, but my opinion is that Ramsey is more of an 8 or 10 than a 6. He can play there - to build up the game - but I want to see him more in an 8 or 10 position.

Happy with transfer business?





So far, yes. For us it was not easy to make some transfers because of the embargo. That’s why we made some of our transfers quick and that was good for us.

After they were in then many players wanted to be with us when they heard the names of the players who were in and what squad we were building. Still, many players want to come to Cardiff.

After Leeds there can be one or two more possibilities we can sign. And also some players will be out.

Any players close to leaving?

Some of them, yes, they will leave. We will have meetings with them because I don’t want any player that I can not use them or they are sitting on the bench, it’s not good for their career. We will see what players we can loan or sell.

He got a small injury from our last friendly match. He will not be with us but we have Jak (Alnwick) in his position, so he will be in goal for us and will handle it well.

I think he will need 10 days.

How tough will it be to start at Leeds?






How I read, their stadium will be football. That is perfect. Football has to be like that, filling the stadiums.

It will be difficult against Leeds, they are at home, they are strong and have their fans behind them. They have a strong team and have a good squad.

I think we will have a good game on Sunday and I hope we can take points.

Ramsey has played for top clubs, that going to be the difference for you?

He showed many years about Ramsey, we don’t need to talk about his quality. Arsenal, Juventus, Nice, top clubs where he showed his quality of course. He will be one of the leaders for the players around him and how they handle the game.

Romaine Sawyers?

He started with us this week but he’s not on the level where we can use him. Small problems with his knee. He has recovered from that but he’s in training with us. We have to see the following days and weeks.

Isaak Davies to KVK?

He is 22 years old . I spoke with him and I think it is a very good move for him to go to Kortrijk and to show himself in the Belgian league.

I hope he will have a good year and then we can see further what we will do with him. He would not have had many minutes with us so it’s good to loan him to Kortrijk so he gets minutes to play.

Ryan Allsop is ruled out of the Leeds United clash this weekend. Could miss QPR, too.

Just watched the press conference.

Good comments from Bulut, clear he wants to sign a few more and that a few will leave.

Sounds like we're ready for Sunday which is good news.

No injury worries apart from Allsop, so there's a chance for Alnwick to prove himself.

Bulut, he is satisfied with the work that's been done - adding Ike Ugbo, Dimitrios Goutas, Yakou Meite, Aaron Ramsey, Karlan Grant and Josh Bowler - but insists the club are not finished yet. He thinks the calibre of player which has been brought into the building will entice more quality to follow later in the window.
