I think Simon is doing a decent job filling Jeff’s boots but how do they choose their pundits? They obviously don’t ask them if they can string a sentence together. Merson awful, Lennon awful, Smith awful, Dawson awful, most of the pundits at the ground awful.

Simon Thomas did a good job. Think he'll be a decent host for that show.

Not fair to compare him to Jeff Stelling, who was the master on Soccer Saturday.

Agree they need better pundits. The set and graphics were awful also.

Simon Thomas is very good.. seemed to struggle with the dimwit’s on the panel, particularly Lennon and Morrison, who seem to thrive on ineligible noise.
The woman (name escapes) added even less.

It’s not that, Merson and Lennon aren’t filling any quotas (unless dense middle aged white men is a quota).

The standard across the board is awful. Neil Mellor is the only one that comes across well for me.

Not Simon Thomas' fault, but the programme was flat, no humour and no spark. Merson is passed his sell by date, and who thought Neil Lennon would be a good choice? I quite like Dawson and Sue smith, but it needs to be a bit lighter.
