" Would have taken a point before kick off "

Obviously disappointed to concede the late equaliser, but would have snapped your hand off for a point before kick off.

I'm feeling much more positive after that performance, defended brilliantly mostly.

I do agree. Just a shame we sat back and just soaked up pressure.

Thought Mcguiness was outstanding!

Not sure it was a much us sitting back as Leeds forcing that on us. They dominated the press and possession.

Inability to manage a lead costs us 2 more points.

But, we should have reacted to that, and done something.
No doubt, Leeds will be in that top 3 this season. Gnotto is some player. Ruined us last season in the cup. The guy is outstanding.

Not many teams will get a point at Elland Road this season.

If anything that games shows we need about 3 more players who would be automatic starters and then we could have a decent season. We will not play many teams better than Leeds and that was a weakened Leeds.
A long hard but interesting season ahead

That's how I see it but a good point in the end like ned said I'd have taken that b4 a ball was kicked today. Didn't think we was much cop 2nd half going forward or holding the ball up that ugbo and grant don't look much to me at all but early doors. Lots of defending and at times we couldn't pass five passes together either unless it was from left back to goalie then to right back only to hit it long for zero chance of a header won really. Overall a point away vs Leeds who will be up there come end of the season i suspect so I'm happy in the end :bluescarf:

mcguiness and goutas immense today, Think collins needed a run out.
We desperately need a striker unsure why robby didn't come on and we need a big cm who can actually pass without hesitation

Leeds were a different side 2nd half , they must have had a half time rocket !!!
We just couldn't get out of our half , but having said that , not every side will have Leeds quality , we should take a lot of confidence from that game .
We are all disappointed after drawing away too one of the favourites for promotion .That tells a story of how far we have come .

I think robbo had a knock so probs didn’t want to risk him.

If we can get these final 3 or 4 players in then we are looking good value this season. I know we don’t know who they are but I trust Bulut to recognise the sort of player he wants.

Good point Leeds away first game.. well done Bulut and the players.

Lots of positives for me. Game plan was 2mins away from securing a brilliant win.

It took unstoppable powerful header and a ricochet into an excellent finish to get through.

Some big positives with Alnwick, McGuinness Bowler stood out for me. Also thought Adams did well when he came on.

Harsh to pick any players out after they worked so hard.

With this new injury time they now play that's 100+ mins with their backs against the wall.

Job well done, would have taken the point before & team looks really together which is brilliant

:bluebird: :bluebird: Agree with the opening post. Far, far, more positives than negatives today. Itsclear that Balut wants players who put in a proper shift. The new players almost all did well. Good attitude and hard work go a long way!
The only one who looked a bit poor and off the pace was Grant. But its early days for him so fingers crossed.
Also glad he brought on Etete ahead of Robinson. Etete has potwntial and will be a decent player I think.
So generally a very good point.

If Im honest (and barring injuries) I don’t think either Robinson or Grant will be regular first teamers in the longer term.
WBA fans were generally very glad to see them both gone (revenge for Zahore :laughing6: ?? Quite funny that some fans said thereshould be a clause in Grant’s contracts to say we must pick them when we play WBA.
(Btw I hope they can prove me wrong)).

McGuinness was largely outstanding, aside from two instances which led to two goals unfortunately.

Not quite sure what he was doing for the corner and for the second goal he was caught ball watching and was far too slow coming out of defence and filling the space which led to the first shot.

Needs to sort it out going forward as he had the same problems last year. But that’s probably why he’s at Cardiff and not in the Premier League at the moment.

All about opinions - he was my man of the match. An excellent performance.

Great first game against a quality Leeds side. Would have snapped your hand off for a point and think overall we deserved the point so happy days.
I liked the way we played, organised, varied our play with a good press and good fitness levels. Love the fact that our wingers are being used as proper wingers too. Alnwick and the defenders were excellent, especially O'Dowda. Thought Bowler was good too and reckon there is a lot more to come from Ugbo. Grant was a bit disappointing and Meite the sub looks off the pace. Hopefully they'll get better as more games come.
Tough first game for Rambo as the pace was relentless. Still showed his class on occasions though and was so glad he got up from that first tackle he received.
On that display, I don't think we'll need to worry about relegation this year...how nice it is to be able to say that with some confidence!!!
