Bulut "In transfers, of course we are expecting something very quick. Sometimes there are small issues to sort out. Some things happen with team managers, agents, but I think we will have, for sure, two or three more transfers before the end of the window."

Bulut: "Everyone is expecting it to be an easy game - but I don’t think so. No game will be easy. They lost their first game 4-0 against Watford. We will be prepared for them. We are thinking of getting the three points."

Bulut: "The supporters, I had them in Leeds, only 2,000 but it was great. I would like to think the stadium at the weekend will be full, fully behind us and supporting the team to push the team and get the three points we are expecting."





Other injuries in the squad?

Bulut: "Yakou Meite has a problem with his muscle. I think he will be out for 10 days. It started in Portugal a little bit, then he was getting better and he started to have a small pain.

"I think one week to 10 days, hopefully earlier."

What have you asked Ramsey to do?

Bulut: "His role, he is one of the leaders. He has a lot of experience from over the years. He is our No.10. He is linking our game, creating our game, showing the direction. He is right now doing this very well. Of course, for the next weeks it will be much, much better.

"He has to know his team-mates better than before. New players, Karlan Grant, Josh Bowler, some players want the ball in space, some want it to feet. Small details in communication and it will become much better."

Bulut: "My wife is saying she is more excited than me. She knows me before the game. Until I enter the stadium, I am quiet. When I am here, then it comes! My wife is nervous and excited! Even for Leeds. After the game, she didn’t calm down - the 95th-minute goal! She knows my character, she knows I don’t like getting that goal in the last 30 seconds. I told her that’s life."

Bulut's verdict on Mark McGuinness


Bulut: "He has everything a top defender should have. He is 22 years old and I think in one or two years he will be much, much higher quality. He showed against Leeds, he played a great game. I hope he continues like this, focuses on his target, and concentrates on the games. If he continues like this he will be a top defender.

What can fans expect this weekend? Different to Leeds?

Bulut: "For sure. Normally my way to play, we want to build up the game, keep the ball, but sometimes, it depends about the opponent. Like Leeds, they created a lot and had a lot of good individual players. There we played a bit more defensively and tried to score from the counter-attack like in the first half.

"After the Joe Ralls injury our game changed a little bit and we couldn’t keep the ball and had a lot more pressure from Leeds. We must train on that. Even when there is pressure we need to be better on the ball."

Bulut: "Yes. It is only a short time they know each other. They have to be much, much better. That will be with the training sessions.

"The small details, we have to work on it. But I think we will manage it also."

How far away from full fitness is Ramsey?

Bulut: "He didn’t miss so much because he had two games with the national team, against Armenia and Turkey. He played and then he was away for three weeks - but didn’t stop his training. He had a personal coach.

"Physically he is quite good. After a few games he will be better, but right now he looks good.

"His numbers, what we have every day from training and games, they look good.

"For sure, in a few games we will see a better Aaron Ramsey. His numbers against Leeds were great. A lot of high, intensive runs, he is close to 100 percent. He is doing well."

Bulut: "He grew up here and played for Cardiff and did great things here before moving to Arsenal. Now he is back and he is home. He wants to give back what he had as a child here. He looks good and he is working hard.

"In the Leeds game he was really working hard and made a lot of metres, he was fighting. On Saturday, in front of the fans, a full house hopefully for him, his first game after so many years back again."

Bulut: "With him, he is still injured. He is still the same. We need a few more days for him."

Erol Bulut is expecting up to three new signings at Cardiff City in the coming days and there could potentially be a new addition before QPR on Saturday.

Bulut is hopeful of getting deals done soon and there have been delays due to a number of factors in recent days. However the manager is confident those issues can be resolved.

"In transfers, of course we are expecting something very quick," Bulut said. "Sometimes there are small issues to sort out. Some things happen with team managers, agents, but I think we will have, for sure, two or three more transfers before the end of the window.

"There can be (a signing before Saturday), but I think because there are issues, it can be after."




Bulut has brought in six players, three from UK clubs, two from France and one from Turkey. And it appears as though the Turkish manager will continue to tap into his contacts book across the continent.

"We are working hard on it. It's not easy to get free players, because we have the ban," he added. "But still, we are working on it, so it can be in the coming days, maybe next week, that we can finalise two or three other players.

Ollie Tanner aged 21

Signed for Cardiff City 13 Months ago / 2 appearances in the League Cup.


There appears to be a question mark over whether Ollie Tanner will stay with the squad or go out on loan yet again this summer, and Bulut admitted his mind has not been made up just yet. The winger can't have done his chances of sticking around any harm with that performance against League 2 The U's, though.

“We haven’t made our decision yet. Young players have to play. It’s not good for them to sit on the bench or out of the squad in the under-21s," Bulut said of Tanner.

"Maybe it’s better for him to go out on loan but somewhere he will play often, not 6 or 10 games like he did last season in the Non League, it won't be enough for him, a minimum of 30-35 games he will have to play to increase his qualities.”

"Then, you never know, you might have a really good player for the future.”

"It looks like he will be OK for Saturday. That will be perfect."

Cardiff City Players told they can leave

Erol Bulut has told up to four Cardiff players that they can leave this summer.

The Bluebirds manager has signed six players, with two or three more imminent, meaning he will have to make room in the squad for them to be brought in.

And conversations have already taken place regarding the players departing this summer, with loans and permanent exits on the cards for some.

"I spoke with three or four players. Those three or four players know about the situation," he said when asked if players had been told if they can leave.

"Also, those players they know the situation. In the coming days, they will go on loan or permanently. Some outgoings are close."
