Just over 22,000 would be my guess which is reasonable considering our disaster of a season last year

Preaching to the (mostly) converted here.
Not sure what advertising the club do for individual games. Needs a fortnightly rolling advert on the digital advertising screens in Cardiff. In the station at the bus stops.

Good idea but I’m sure that would again just reach out to the converted.
I’ve been saying for years that players should go out to local schools and maybe take a football session then give out comps to the whole class (just 2 kids tickets per child?) Hopefully a fair proportion of these would then pester their parents (who would pay) to attend the game for their (freebie) kids to see the players who they saw at their schools. They could fill the family stand plus they’d buy food & merchandise no doubt.
I know it’s impossible out of term time but just a thought.

Shame about the weather. It will knock a few thousand off the attendance.

It wouldn't matter if we was playing a top team somehow. Always baffled me that how people only turn up for certain teams or what league we are in no matter what weather. But each to there own.

I agree. But we’re fans of the team mate, no matter who we play

Not really baffling.
Most social football "fans" only appear with success.
This is why there are Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and now Man C armchair fans all over the country and world. Now THAT baffles me.
With success we can call on large crowds, we just do not have a core like similar cities, Sunderland Sheff W and Derby.
I say you should be banned for supporting any club but your nearest.

I totally agree Ian,
Very Sad we can’t be consistent with big support.
Weather, tv, shopping, need more wins lol. Should be be cheaper lol. Not giving the tickets away lol hard to park lol etc etc
But if today we were playing a major all those excuses would be gone.
Nearly Every club’s attendance’s are rising in the EFL , Crowds are returning, So we have NO more excuses.
It should def be 25,000 plus today.

Agree.
I'm in Cardiff and would have expected at least 25k today, looking like it won't be.

A positive start to the season will see the attendances rise. It's the way it is with the City and always will be. Like it or not, the football club is not synonymous with the city in a way Newcastle is and to a lesser extent Derby and Norwich.
