Joel Bagan has joined S.V. Zulte Waregem on loan for the 2023/24 season.

Not the top league in Belgium, a lower league.


Joel Bagan aged 22

He signed a new three-year deal with the Bluebirds earlier this summer.

Me, too! I met Joel and he is a genuinely nice guy. I also think he could make the grade in the EFL if given the chance...

Guessing with Tom Davies gone as well that means O'Dowda will mainly be a left back this year

I may be in the minority but I quite like him, defo needs a loan and experience. Learn the art of defending. But I do think he's got something about him and could still make it with us.

Probably the best move for him at the moment but I rate him, I think he’ll definitely make the grade.
He looked much better than Collins when he came on Wednesday night albeit Collins needs more time after his injury.

Lets be brutally honest, the lad is 22 years old and has had about 6 City managers including Erol who gave everyone a chance in the last 11 games.
The CCFC Committee gave Bagan a new 3 yr contract.

If Bagan like all those before him at 22 years old was going to make it in Our Championship team he would still be here.

At his age he should have had at least 40-50 Championship games under him.

The truth is he's just not good enough.

Truth is that Bulut has high standards. Said the other day we have to be "much much better at everything".

He would have looked at players like Bagan and decided quickly that they won't meet those standards.

Good luck to him on loan, but it's difficult to see him ever being a Championship defender. Would have made it by now.

I think that Bagan could have been good enough but just badly coached over the last 3-4 years, if we could sort that out then the 16-18 yrs old currently in our academy could make it into our team, otherwise you, and the majority of the fans will still be saying they are not good enough when they reach 21/22yrs of age
