"Some players need to be much more active in the game. From some players, it's not enough," he said. "They have to give better performances, like not only what I saw today but last week."

He also bemoaned his players' lack of concentration. Cardiff have now conceded six goals in a week against Leeds United, Colchester United and QPR. It's not been good enough and it must improve.

"I said to my players the game would not be easy, because they lost their last game 4-0 against Watford, so I expected them to play different against us and we got it," the manager added.


"We've not concentrated in the first half. Many players were nervous, I don't know why, we shouldn't be. The first half, we just could not manage it. We couldn't keep the ball enough to create chances and then, with an individual mistake, they got the first goal.

"The opponent didn't push too much or create too much. They created three or four chances and scored twice. I don't know how many we created. Enough to create a goal to get another point. When we saw the second half, the pressure we put on the opponent, but then we make another mistake and the opponent is winning 2-0 and it's not easy to come back.

"We had enough chances. Before the second goal, when Ramsey hit the post, maybe we can score there and it would be 1-1 and the game would finish much more differently. But this is football, sometimes you see the statistics and you say the game cannot have this result.

Had a perfect view of him from Canton and he was livid when the second goal went in.

Think in the long run he'll do well for us, he does care.

Perhaps some players were nervous as they know if they make a mistake some so called fans will start the abuse as usual.
Hope we never hear that Joe Ralls shouldn't be in the team again, missed him big time yesterday and when he went off at Leeds.

Its nice to have an open and honest manager giving his true thoughts on what he seen and I agree with him .

If players don't want 'abuse' from the fans then they should be professional lawn bowlers instead!

People buy their ticket and if they want to shout and left off some steam, that's ok for me within reason.

Don't really want to throw the 'snowflake' term out there, but surely professional sportsmen know that they may hear the odd cat call now and then from the crowd - that's been going on as long as there's been spectator sport!

Did players back in the 80s and 90s have thicker skin or do we have too many fragile egos influenced by social media 'likes' these days?

It's getting ridiculous we are gifting teams 2 goals a week and expecting them to stay up.

These players can't play it out from the back, Trollope and Morison tried and were sacked by Christmas, sort it out Erol or you'll go the same way.
