I honestly don’t buy it to this at all, We had NO kids out there, in fact an experienced starting 11.
Bulut please don’t follow our previous managers with daft comments like that or a stupid excuse as the truth is we sadly were not good enough on the day in my view to in what at what I see a relegation candidate QPR team.
We must just admit mistakes cost us yet again.
Thankfully we can rectify them as we have a better squad than last season.
And hopefully a far better manager than the previous 5 managers.

I 100% agree, whether that's the manager's naivety or the players bottling it,will only be known in the manager's office and his next team selection.

Yeah - the nerves thing is a strange one and Bulut clearly picked up on it and didn't get it himself.
They shouldn't be nervous (notwithstanding pre-match adrenaline and anticipation). Yes, if you're playing in front of 70k plus crowds every home match and expected to win the lot, that's bloody pressure! This is CCFC v QPR in front of 21k! This is their reality and dream day job - nerves no excuse!

I think he’s spot on, they played the occasion yesterday, Rambo’s homecoming, even Joe Ledley brought down for a chat, he’s usually at the stadium watching anyway so why was yesterday any different.
Hopefully now Rambo’s first home match is over they can push on as normal and play the game not the occasion.

Can understand being nervous when playing Leeds and Leicester away- but QPR at home ?

Nerves..... Sorry, that's the same twaddle of an excuse that the last three or four City managers were peddling.
There's a lot more to it than that? Maybe, just maybe, we just haven't got the in-depth quality of players to compete at this level??

Pretty sure he means nervous of losing at home again rather than the opposition. Given our terrible home record the past two seasons, it’s not surprising the players are a bit on edge. The result being the players being too cautious in possession not wanting to make a mistakes.

I disagree with you.
Rightly or wrongly the players were nervous you could see it as plain as day. I don’t see it as an excuse it’s more of a fact.
People on here - not necessarily you - criticising the manager already. Just give him a chance and have some patience at least.
We’ve got a bunch of freebies and no cost loans I’m not sure what people expect.
Some on here even think we can get into the playoffs ffs!

I think he was referring to those players who hesitated in possession and played the ball either sideways or backwards simply to retain the ball. For me NG was guilty of this on more than a few occasions, whilst again Wintle took the easy option of playing sideways too often instead of turning and looking up for the forward pass.

This is a new season and a fresh start. That's the message the players need to hear - not dwelling on the failures at home in the past couple of seasons.
Just move on! As for bringing in freebies and loans, remember how Dave Jones managed in those circumstances? Too much fragility and not enough strength of mind and resilience for me. I think the thought process / psychology needs to change at City.

Precisely. Bulut’s talking about nervousness on the ball, not pre match nerves.
Agree Wintle needs to pass forwards more rather than taking the easy sideways pass each time. Hard when there isn’t much movement in front of you mind.
