Canton Stand were so quiet

lReally was awful support from the fans yesterday especially from the Canton End.
Do they really rely on ‘the drum ‘ to lead them.

The singing/standing section needs to be moved nearer the away fans

No they don’t need the drum to make them sing I sit in the canton stand but I’ll defend them all day long have you thought they might just be watching the game and supporting the team in another way

What was with the crowd yesterday?

So quiet, no passion excitement or noise. Have heard excuses in the past about it being the doom around the club, but it’s been a positive summer, Rambo return. Fans let the players down as much as they let us down. Proper anti climax. Poor.

I think after the last few seasons of watching dross has muted the crowd. Our crowd used to be loud in the stadium when Jones was here as we played good attacking football. Was always something to get us on our feet. Lately though that’s been few and far between. There were times when we were loud yesterday but only when we were having a go in attack. I don’t see the crowd improving until we start to be Cardiff of old when we were much more attacking/passing team.

Something needs to happen, being outsung by the way fans is embarrassing. I agree that the singing/crowd involvement goes hand in hand with the pace of the game but with the drums the last few seasons they’ve tried to keep the fans noise level up.

We never needed drums before so no we shouldn’t rely on drums but something needs to happen regards the singing

Coming up with some decent new songs which haven't been plagiarised from other clubs would be a great start.

Well, you could argue that at 2-0 down the team needed our support more than ever. The Championship is the most unpredictable league in Europe where anyone can beat anyone.

Agree there. The songs are a bit stale these days. The initial excitement seemed to drain away rapidly when everyone realised we weren't playing any better than last season. Still early days yet tho, and 1 win will lift everyone's confidence

Like a funeral get together the ccs has been for years at times, lifeless and bovril sippersg galore but thats shitty modern football all over. Then you get wales games and the jocks visiting in the past and its like a Madrid derby atmosphere. Baffles me. :bluebird:

Where was the drum? Is it permanently removed?
