Where was the drummer ?

Does anyone know why we didn’t have the drummer , felt weirdly quiet

Had that much stick on the forum here probably thought f.ck it people moaning about him we don' t need the drums etc
well in my opinion we do i noticed when we had a corner the drummer used to get fans going and us chanting CITY
but yesterday i heard before a corner a half hearted bluebirds bluebirds

Vince is the drummer and I think he adds something to a generally poor stadium atmosphere; and it's no coincidence the best nouse comes from the standing Canton end when he's in flow...

Not sure why he wasn't drumming yesterday but maybe he wasn't at the game per say...?

To be fair to Monty, a fair bit of 'stick' has been directed at the drumming over the years; although most apoear to accept/support it...

Long may it continue in my book; the 'Barmy Army' trumpet blower at the cricket is great fun and gees uo the crowds...

Prehaps we need a drummer and a trumpet player, agree trumpet at the cricket is awesome

I always come away from the stadium with a lost voice from singing and shouting i personally do not know the drummer put perhaps people should back off slaging off the drumming
Hopefully those that do or did moan about the drumming could see sat how dead the atmosphere was the drumming leads the way and starts people off in unison rather than pockets of fans singing here and there

Atmosphere against qpr was so flat without the drum, really need to bring it back

Yeh it felt a bit like a boat full of rowers without the guy in front shouting the orders , it was bloody shite , worst atmosphere I’ve felt for a long time

He’s upped sticks for a new drum..

Refreshingly absent.. probably led to the demise of a variety of songs for the new tosh bleated out weekly.

It's never a good atmosphere when we are losing. I also new there would be booing at half time.

Vince Alm said on Twitter that he withdrew the drum due to some criticism online, he wanted to see how it went without the drum. I think the singing will pick up without the drum. Might take time, nature abhores a vacuum after all.
Personally i like the drum, the bigger issue is the club refusing to move the Canton closer to the away end. That would really improve the matchday experience but i've read that Wayne Nash would never allow it. So, is it time Wayne Nash was removed for a more fan friendly employee

Yeh I noticed the booing half time , bloody disgusting that was .
Would deffo be great if they put the away fans next us in the corner in the canton .
A lot of other clubs do it so why not , obviously there would be vapes getting thrown maybe that’s why they ain’t doing it

Read an article earlier about best atmospheres at championship stadiums.

Listed many good as having away fans next to the rowdy cohort.

Name checked us as would improve if we did the same.

As the powers that be are obviously listening with the 'hey jude' and new fans meetings... Surely we can work towards a solution?!
