Manchester United v Wolves

Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:09 pm

How on earth did Wolves not get a penalty right at the end when Onana completely took out their player with a punch??

Honestly one of the worst decisions I've seen for a long time.

Clearest penalty you'll see and VAR didn't even tell the referee to take a look at it.

The opposition getting a decision at Old Trafford against Manchester United really is mission impossible

There cheating cunts ned end of. Would of been a pen if it was at wolves ground. Honest a god never seen such cheating by the official's. The ref didn't even want to go look at the screen or make a clear and obvious decision himself from a clear wipeout by the man utd goalie.

Embarrassing stuff really and why I can't stand the prem crap.

Wolves was the better team to and lost

Shocking decision & VAR not even telling the ref to take another look is an even worse decision, ridiculous.

Hooper is a cheating prick one mu tackle foot off the ground studs showing should have been a red, one mu player fouling through the match no yellow should have been 2 yellows. mu player pulling back wolves players shirt even by the old rules auto yellow, nothing given mu player slowing down a wolves free kick where is the yellow,
and a last minute penalty, not clear are the var pricks not watching their screens. you will never get a clearer penalty the var ref and the match ref should be sacked :banghead:

Looking at Twitter i'm in the minority but i don't think it was a pen. I dislike this United side though, i can see Ten Hag being sacked by Christmas

The chief of the refs has appologised to O'Neal saying that Hooper and the Var got it wrong and the penalty should definitely have been awarded. Too late now though :banghead:

Simon Hooper was the ref who failed to give us a penalty in our match v Watford in 2019, when Josh Murphy was clattered in the box just before half time

Saw that Jon Moss apologised to O'Neil straight away Roger. He was at the game so had no part in the decision making, fair play to him for apologising. Like you say, he's the manager of the elite referees.

Howard Webb, the boss of all matches officials, was also at the game and apologised as well.

The referee, VAR and assistant VAR are now not selected for PL games next week.

Says it all that the only people who say it was the right decision are Onana and Ten Hag.

They deserved all three points really, and would have probably got one point if the officials gave this simple decision.

Football referee Simon Hooper and his two video assistants in Manchester United's 1-0 win over Wolves on Monday night have been stood down from next week's Premier League fixtures following a late penalty controversy.
