The chief of the refs has appologised to O'Neal saying that Hooper and the Var got it wrong and the penalty should definitely have been awarded. Too late now though

Saw that Jon Moss apologised to O'Neil straight away Roger. He was at the game so had no part in the decision making, fair play to him for apologising. Like you say, he's the manager of the elite referees.
Howard Webb, the boss of all matches officials, was also at the game and apologised as well.
The referee, VAR and assistant VAR are now not selected for PL games next week.
Says it all that the only people who say it was the right decision are Onana and Ten Hag.
