Interesting comments from Erol Bulut this afternoon on transfers. Said there is some quality and fighters in the squad - but you can't go a whole season with only fighters. Need more "technical players".

Bulut: "Of course. In pre-season games, all the players are fighting and trying their best. Still now they are trying their best. In the first two games, we observed that we need different kind of players. So we are looking."




Bulut expects 2 New Transfers with in the next 48hrs, even maybe one later today.

Ralls and Robinson injury latest?


Bulut: "Robinson did well! He had a problem on his back - stiffness, so he couldn’t train all week (last week). We used him against QPR, these minutes are good and he did good offensively.

"We have to work a little bit on defence. He is a good player technically and you can play options and offensive football."

"Joe Ralls - he is now in training with us, I hope, how I saw in the last two days in training and I think he will be with us at Leicester."

There's a lot of names being thrown around, including Manolis Siopis. What can you tell us?

Bulut: "I know Manolis Siopis very well, because I was the one who brought him to Alanyaspor, then he moved to Trabzonspor where he won the league and cup.

"He's a Greek international player. Many players are going around as free players - but it’s not so easy for us to get those free players, because of their wages. It’s normal they get compared to us because they know me and I brought him to Turkey.

"Also some other players are in the press. Their names are linked with Cardiff. In the future, you never know what can happen."

Bulut had a goalkeeper lined up on a loan deal to replace Ryan Alsop, but Alsop got injured and thankfully Alnwick proved he is worthy of starting.

He said, “I never have a phone with me during the game, and 2 if he wanted me to change things, he could look for a new manager. “

Bulut: "Well they also say he is close to Cardiff because he was at Alanyaspor. He had a good season there. I was at Gaziantep. At that part, we are looking, because we have only two and we need three.

After the first two games, have you seen a reaction in training?



Bulut: "Of course. The manager speaks a little bit differently than he did before - not always can we be kind and soft, sometimes we have to be different to wake them up.

"The QPR game, if you see the whole game - that should be three points for us. But we have to score. It was a little bit unlucky, QPR and Leeds - we could have six points, at least four points. But that is football. If you don’t score and you get countered, individual mistakes, it’s not easy then.

"We had that possibility and enough chances against QPR. The game will change then. We took a risk, pushed to score and then we conceded. It was disappointing we couldn’t get at least one point. "

Thoughts ahead of Leicester?



Bulut: "Leicester are a really good team. Just relegated from the Premier League and they have strong individual players.

"We are preparing ourselves for that game. We are working hard."

Do you think they are favourites for the Championship? What have you made of the league so far?



Bulut: "Not only me. I think the whole Championship knows Leeds, Leicester are one of the favourites. Some other clubs can also surprise. The season is long."

"Many players, I think they still have in their head the last two years, how the Championship was for them with Cardiff City in the Championship - it was not good. Some players still have that in their mind. I need to push it out of them, to feel confident and believe in themselves and what they are doing to achieve our target.

"I need to push these negative things out of them, we need positive things. We have to work on it to get it out of them.

"I played for 20 years, it's not easy, but we will do everything possible to put it out of their heads. With many players, individually, from my time when I was playing, how I tried to handle it I took advice with communication, we will try and make it better for them.

"Last year is last year, it's finished. We cannot think back about what happened in the past. We have to look forward to what we can get rather than what we've lost. This was last season. Now it's now."

Bulut: "Yeah. If you know your players. I have been here nearly three months. One by one we know my players, what type of characters they are. Maybe we need a little bit more time.

"With five or six new players from the first XI from last season. Some new players will come in and adapt with the team. But we need time. In that time - we want to win games! We have to take points."
