Junior Hoilett could reunite with Neil Warnock with the Canada international currently training with Huddersfield Town.
The former Bluebirds duo are remembered fondly in these parts for their contributions to the club, however both have gone on to pastures new.
Warnock kept the Terriers in the Championship last year, a quite miraculous feat, while Hoilett has most recently been at Reading, whom he left after they were relegation to League One last season.
Now, however, Football League World report that Huddersfield are ready to offer Hoilett a contract in Yorkshire after training with the squad in recent days.
Hinting at a potential link-up again with Hoilett, which would be the third time after the winger player under him at QPR and Cardiff, Warnock told Yorkshire Live: "We have got one or two deals ongoing and hopefully we can get one over the line. We've got another lad with us as well. I can't see anything being done for the weekend, but we are close."

He was outstanding during our last promotion season. Some of his goals were absolute belters.

I like junior but him and warnock are like an old couple who can't be without each other

The year is 2057. Warnock has been drafted in to save Alah Hibaba in the Saudi League, with Hoilett on a billion a week.
