Far too good for Hull be surprised if he would be interested

Coutinho got a really bad injury for Villa yesterday so I wonder if this changes their plans?

He did well in pre-season so a bit surprised they'd let him go permanently.

Would have probably expected a loan to a Championship team likely to fight at the top.

I agree that Bowler will be a great signing, but Philogene was also very good for us last season.

Tbf philogene used to get laughed at when first played for us knocked off the ball. But when management changed towards end of season he came into his own and looked class

I’d take Philogene before Bowler all day long given the choice.

Absolutely no doubt about it, Bowler is good but Philogene is a class above already, and still getting better.

He can’t be that bad Wez?

It’s funny when a manager or player is at City you think they are great as soon as they move on to better things, you don’t rate them or even move in you don’t rate them

JP was class in patches but even during his purple patch he tended to completely drift out of games. I’m sure the same could be said of Bowler but I certainly wouldn’t pay £5M for Philogene.

What is the latest Hull City transfer news?

Hull City have agreed to sign Keinan Davis from Aston Villa for £2 million, although personal terms still need to be negotiated.

Davis has attracted interest from multiple clubs this summer and has rejected a move abroad.
Hull is in pole position to secure Davis' signature and the signing would strengthen their attacking options as they aim for promotion.

Hull are also closing in on another deal with Villa having come to an agreement over the sale of Jaden Philogene.

It has been claimed that a £5 million deal has been negotiated for the 21-year-old, who is keen to earn consistent game time.

Emery was hopeful of holding onto the youngster, but his route to first team football has proven too difficult, and so he is set to depart Villa Park.

Philogene spent last season on loan with Cardiff City, where he made 37 appearances in the Championship.
