Rohan Luthra has today joined Slough Town on loan until January 2024.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has made one appearance for our First Team to date.

We'd like to wish Rohan all the best while out on loan.

Rohan Luthra is set to join Slough on loan for the season.

Luthra, 21, made his league debut for the Bluebirds in March when he came on as a late substitute in a game at Preston.

Slough play in the National League South, which is the sixth tier of English football.


Luthra since turning professional 3 years ago has made one appearance.

Unless we're missing something that leaves us with three keepers fighting for that one spot, which should 'up' performances and gives Erol Bulut ammunition for dealing with poor performance; something we've not had in a while...

I assume Alnwick and Runarsson will be battling for the number 1 spot but Allsop won't want to be number 3?

Good loan move for him, goalkeepers mature at an older age and not saying I do think he will make it but I wouldn't rule it out, he is very young for a goalkeeper so hopefully plays alot of games

Slough? I mean come on surely the club can find a higher league club or is that the standard of players we got who are not near the 1st team amd cant get a better club. Jesus.

So is this a move just to get rid of him ? Does anyone know how long he has on his contract. Because he's either gone there to be closer to family or just to run the Contract down because I can't see how getting Sunday league style football under his belt will help him develop? This is another one of those wtf transfers for me. Borderline as bad as sending the u21s to the Welsh league

For a start, calling the sixth tier "Sunday League style" is extremely disrespectful and not true. I'd say it's a higher standard than the Cymru Premier.

It is obviously somewhere where he is likely to play a lot of games, which is a good thing. He'll learn more from that than playing U21 games. He could go on loan to a National League team and not play so this is much better.

His contract expires in 2024, but I would say could be extended if he does well at Slough over the next few months. Maybe they'll even extend his contract before he goes there on loan.

It's been said above and is true that goalkeepers reach their peak at an older age to outfield players.

I wish him well at Slough, hope he does well and - if he does sign a new contract - comes back a better player.
