Callum o'dowda

Why does he seem less likely to take on his man and create more chances while playing on the wing ? At left back he seems like a demon doing everyone in sight. Did anyone else notice this ?

Played far to narrow today. If you watch the first half he was looking like an inside forward.

I think he was tried as an inside forward, he is a 442 winger or a wing back, not an inside forward

Didn't have a good game today, also didn't help Collins defensively.

I think he needs a rest.

I have evert faith he's absolutely brilliant I was just shocked that on the wing he wasn't doing as much as when playing wing back. I wouldn't change him for any player though

Agree Sven, his performances in a struggling side were excellent last season. Get him in the right formation/position and he'll be quality

He can't need a rest in August surely?

It was a tough test for him against 2 very physical defenders and the referee was letting a lot go.

For me he was still one of our better players and got a good assist.

Even though he has been poor the last 2 homes games he's still got 2 assists. Funny enough both Ugbo's goals at home came from the same combination of an NG cross to the back post with O'Dowda cutting it back.

Personally I think the best partnership we have on the left is Collins and O'Dowda. NG and Bowler on the right but Tanner is pushing hard and if Bowler is injured I would like to see Tanner get the nod against Ipswich.
