What a top man this guy is, he got off the coach signed every autograph, had every picture the fans wanted.
If any of you know Neil who stands at front of Canton, he was calling him to go over, he went over, hugged Neil and was still out there signing autographs after the Wednesday coach had gone to park up!

Good to hear and one I personally was sorry to see leave. Always gives 100% and can play in a
number of positions. Great squad player

The celebration where he slid into the net in the background is legendary. Bet he's a great craic

Respect to Callum Paterson. Played really well, controlled the ball superbly and numerous useful headed flick-ons.
Great team player and character. Shame we let go of him so early.

Class act and was a huge reason we got promoted under NW with some massive goals.
Signed as a RB and played as a 10/9
Character and effort was 100% whenever he put on the shirt and there's no wonder he was well liked by the fans. Collins should be greatful of the education he gave him yesterday

Rated Paterson. Never should have got rid. Scored vital goals in the premiership- would have been a great sub. Covered numerous positions.

Always came across as a decent person. Was good with the fans on and off the pitch.
Did a good job for us and scored some vital goals.
However, I don't think he would be anywhere near our first team if he was still at the club. Did his job well for Wednesday but would be completely unsuited for the system we play.
I would put him in the same category as a number of other Championship players over previous years. Someone who is a good player to kick the ball long to and hope they win their aerial battle, but would probably struggle in a team that plays more with the ball on the floor such as us.
That's not a criticism of Paterson, because he's good at what he does.
Just wouldn't be right for a team like our's now.

I agree with you, Ned; Paterson a lovely guy but no longer for our club as it is...
