Aston Villa's team bus was attacked after the Clarets' 3-1 victory away at Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
Unai Emery's men were travelling back from Turf Moor following the impressive win when the incident occurred at junction 10 of the M65. Multiple reports state the bus was significantly damaged after an object was thrown at the windscreen.
Burnely have since released a statement on the situation, which read:
“Burnley Football Club is saddened and dismayed to learn about an attack on the Aston Villa team bus at junction 10 of the M65 after today’s match. Having spoken with Villa we are relieved to hear nobody was hurt in the incident. We strongly condemn this behaviour and will support Lancashire Police in their efforts to find whoever was responsible."
