" Josh Bowler & Callum O'Dowda "

Thu Aug 31, 2023 2:09 pm

Erol Bulut has confirmed that Josh Bowler and Callum O'Dowda will miss the game at Ipswich.

Will be interesting to see who starts out wide. Ugbo played on the right against Wednesday but Tanner could come in. Probably likely that Grant will play on the left.

Erol Bulut:

"A few injuries. Josh Bowler continues to be injured. And now we add O’Dowda to that. That looks like two or three weeks. But we still have enough players to put on the field!"

Why are players getting injured constantly , what’s up with their body’s

Injuries

I know every club gets them but it is so frustrating. O’Dowda and Collins were just starting to get a good understanding and know the latter out for about 3 weeks including the Derby. Bowler has just got here and remains injured. As for Robinson - he is always injured. Very frustrating as for me all 3 would be in my starting line up.

Players get injured, it's an occupational hazard.

You make it sound like we have loads of players out injured, these two are the only regular first team starters unavailable!

I heard he's been training the last couple of days and could be in the squad on Saturday, probably on the bench.

With respect Worcester we don’t have a lot of injuries but those who are tend to be key players. Whilst I agree it’s an occupational hazard, some players do have a very low pain threshold. In the case of Bowler he has only played once and Robinson misses so much. I think he is a super player but sometimes you just have suck it up and get on with it.

Bowler has started every league game apart from against Wednesday.

We’ve only just started season and already they’re dropping , something bloody wrong with them , I think most of it is in their bloody mind

Other teams have 8-10 players out injured. We have 2-3.

Or would be nice to have the jacks with a full team for once. We always seem to have key players out.

Strange thing to post, almost sounds like you're wishing injuries on our players just so you can be proven right...

Like I said, other teams have a lot more injuries than us.

But people always need something to complain about I guess.

Good and accurate post.

Some poster saying Robinson has a low threshold of pain because he has a muscular problem.
Absolute bollocks and he’s obviously never played sport at any level or he’d realise it’s nothing to do with that.

Why is it that every year more players are getting injured all the time, it’s constantly getting worse , and why the f**k would I want Ramsey to get injured , what a pathetic thing to say

I’d like to see your source that states these facts about players getting injured all the time and how it’s getting worse.

The fact is with the modern training and sports science players are looked after more. And rightly so.
Just ask the older players from the 70’s like Tommy Smith for example. Asked to play through bad injuries and given injections before games. A lot are virtually crippled.
