We can confirm that Jack Simpson has today left Cardiff City Football Club by mutual consent.

Surely a replacement is incoming

Surely this means we have at least one definite new CB coming in, hopefully two.

No "thanks to Jack and good luck" included.

Excellent, don't have to watch his defensive mistakes anymore Good luck to him.

Certainly glad to see the back of him. Seems to me that there's more to it than just being crap.

Another of the atrocious Morison signings departs. Good luck to the lad, not his fault and seemed honest enough just not capable at Championship level. Bulut is certainly ruthless.

This is worrying as I thought this was a good signing as he looked good at Bournemouth I wonder if he was 1 of those players who did not want to play for us and no manager could do anything with him as said on here not a great club statement

He was also rubbish at rangers.

One of the worst signings I've ever seen in a city shirt. Seen better at the back playing with a beer belly on a Sunday morning on 4 inches of grass water logged muddy pitches.

don't know if we can contriubute this one to Morison, the club tried to sign him under Mick McCarthy the year before, and he turned us down for Rangers, we then went back in for him when Rangers wanted rid of him, so i wouldn't be surprised to hear he was a board signing

Good luck to him, wherever he goes.... The club statement seems a bit blunt ?? It does appear that the Gaffer is taking no prisoners and is clearing out the dead wood ( so to speak ).

Lets hope now we have some names coming in before the deadline.

I can tell you staff at the club who's job it is to sign players... are working on signing players.

All I can tell you for sure is football clubs will sign and sell players.

I honestly feel bad for him as it’s not his fault that opportunities like Cardiff or Rangers had presented themselves to him.

It doesn’t appear to be for a lack of trying or any attitude, he just is nowhere near good enough for this level, and I’d assume at least a level below.

Whereas in the past we’ve had players who haven’t been very good but have worked hard and avoided the level of criticism Simpson has had, it just doesn’t work like that for a centre half

100% agreed. Seems like we've made good signings, secured some contracts and got rid of some that were not up to scratch. It feels very organised for Cardiff City. It's weird haha

Jack Simpson is only 26 and has played just 62 professional games at club level. That should speak volumes... As stated above, another one of Morison's players brought in just to beef up the squad.
