Can only assume a free transfer to get him off the wage bill and then recoup monies from sell on clause if/when we sell him on.

Did I read somewhere Dijon had a sell on clause when he signed for Forest?

So unless forest sell for big bucks, letting him go for free and passing on the sell on clause can make sense.
