" A brilliant transfer window "

Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:00 pm

Now the transfer window has officially closed, I think it's been a brilliant window for us.

Erol Bulut has brought in nine new players:

Dimitrios Goutas
Ike Ugbo
Yakou Meite
Karlan Grant
Aaron Ramsey
Josh Bowler
Manolis Siopis
Runar Alex Runarsson
Jonathan Panzo

These players have massively improved our team and we look in a good place with a good manager.

He has also moved on players who aren't good enough for the Championship.

Considering we couldn't spend any fees, we have done very well to bring in the players we have.

We have a good squad to see us through until January - and we can spend fees again then.

I certainly see a much better season than last season :ayatollah: :bluebird:

The transfer window in an embargo has been excellent and a breath of fresh air following the disaster of last year. I am positive this season can be better but the lack of a proper target man will be telling. Lets hope we have a bit of luck and can be in mid-table by January so we can then buy one.

Totally agree.
Best window in years under really difficult constraints.
Well done to the manager and the board.

I think with Ugbo, Grant, Miete and Robinson, we should be ok until January.

Great window!!! Panzo will slot right in… looking forward to the ride this season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Got to echo these points. I think we should have enough fire power to get through to January in a comfortable position.
Need to use the correct formation to make the most of the attacking talent we have.

Considering our restrictions this for me is our best ever transfer window

Moore wanted to come.

They weren’t happy to let him go without a fee which Millwall offered.

Then when the inbound deal collapsed there was no hope of it being resurrected.

January just in time for promotion push like Madine.

But how do you know Moore wanted to come to us?
There’s no link or no confirmation that I can find.

Agree with you on the need for a target man. Need someone to be able to hold the ball up to enable the likes of Ramsey, Robinson, Grant etc to thrive. But I think the squad is good enough to be comfortably mid table and possibly within striking distance of the 6th place come January.

Best ever window for us!!! To get 9 players but they allseem to be targeted and well throughout. Not sure how there can be any arguments. 8 of our our players are experienced and the biggest gamble is currently our top goal scorer. Well done to everyone involved, now lets enjoy seeing this team come together

Absolutely fantastic window considering the embargo.

Have to agree, a great window’s business. Most of these players I know a lot about, but who’s this Ramsey guy they’re raving about? Is he any good? Anyone seen him play?
