I've just watched the goals.

Their first goal was a good strike, but why was he given the time to turn and line up the shot just outside our penalty box? A defender should have been up his backside forcing him away from goal or at a minimum, close him down to stop him shooting or block the shot.

Their second goal came from us switching off at a corner and the ball got diverted straight to their player to score from our failure to cut out the corner properly. It's a lack of concentration and alertness, then trying to recover from getting caught out by their quick thinking that cost us. Also, how did Panso allow him to turn and shoot? Panso seems very lightweight for a centre back and he seemed easily bullied allowing their player to hold him off, turn and score.

Their third goal came from McGuinness failing to stop the cross, then Runarsson rashly palming the cross out to bounce into their players face to roll into the net.

No other team in this division concedes the amount of sloppy goals we do. No team in this league throws away so many points from winning positions. No other team in this league is a complete soft touch defensively. We might be better going forwards scoring more goals, but we are also the easiest team to score against in this division.

I think Bulut has to take a portion of the blame today with his negative subs and tactics, inviting Ipswich onto us. I think Goutas was brought in to try to give us some experience and leadership at the back, but he's made a few mistakes already and I already have some concerns with him. McGuinness may make heroic blocks, but that's because he can make wrong decisions and be caught out of position in the first place. Hopefully, Panso can step in and improve us defensively, but he will need a few games.

We threw the lead away today with a mixture of wrong decisions, lack of concentration and a lack of desire to close down quicker to stop crosses and block shots. Defensively, we are nowhere near good enough and if we don't improve quickly, we will keep conceding soft goals to throw points away, which will inevitably lead us into another relegation battle.

Poor defending which can be worked on. How he has so much space to pick his spot with five defenders in front of him baffles me.

The two other goals were strokes of luck. Yes it’s frustrating but last season we lose that 4-0 and don’t put up any fight at all.
