Cardiff winger Ollie Tanner has told fans:

Tue Sep 05, 2023 4:04 pm

Cardiff winger Ollie Tanner has told fans to "stick with us" after the frustrating result in Suffolk.

Tanner made his first league start for the Bluebirds at the weekend, a reward for his decent form over the course of pre-season and the first few games of the campaign.

Despite a seemingly positive display, Bulut hooked the youngster at half-time, unhappy with his showing.

"We’ll be back," Tanner wrote on Instagram. "Fans top class as always, stick with us."

Post-match Bulut was asked why the winger was withdrawn at the break.

"I was not satisfied with his performance.”

I do wonder how much Buluts comments have been mistaken in translation. When asked the question it does seem a normal reply. I mean very few managers take players off because they are happy with the performance.

The thing with Ollie is that, two months ago, we were talking of him as being a fringe squad player possibly on the way out on loan.

Now we are talking of him as a 1st team member.

The jury may still be out with some but I think the lad has knuckled down and said he wants to take this opportunity.

He’s no worse than some of the shite we’ve had the last few years. I hope he takes his chance in the first team and makes an impact.

He's a good player I like him, he's really good going forward, he just needs to track back and he could keep the shirt!

Is Bowler fit for the Jacks?

We need to stick with this lad IMHO at last a player who takes defenders on, last one I can think of was Noone, also think Buluts comment has been snapped up by the anti Tanner brigade who made their minds up last season. Give him a run of games he will be good for us . There's a good player in there much like RC.

I also agree with you though it's more like the anti-Bulut movement. People already building the Swansea game as if we don't win they it's get rid of Bulut time.Fukbook and twatter idiots have already got a hard on.

It does name me chuckle when comments about young lads are jumped on, we went through the same with Morrison's bluntness , think Bellars may have trod down that path, can't be easy for a manager post match , feeling anger, not wanting not to be at the press conference,to come under such scrutiny, the language barrier doesn't help, never mind the cock sure journalists facong him who probably couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery. Maybe its a Ron Saunders sarcastic reply to wind folk up
