VOTE YOUR MAN OF THE MATCH (V SWANSEA TOWN)

Sat Sep 16, 2023 9:43 pm

Vote your Man of the Match versus the 'Jaded Jacks' and their limp-wristed 'swimaway crap... :ayatollah:

Massive shout out to Erol Bulut for his attitude and tactics...

An excellent team performance all round but for me it was between the class of Aaron Ramsey and the sheer effectiveness of Ollie Tanner...

Tonight, Hughie, it just has to be Ollie Tanner for me...! :ayatollah: :notworthy:

Although Ramsey was superb and Tanners impact was huge it’s an easy one for me.

Siopis was outstanding and ran the show.

Siopis for me, hounding people, getting stuck in. Helps us play out the back better, also the interceptions and dead balsl he picks up, last season that would of lead to chances for them but with Siopis he gets the ball, makes a massive difference

Spoilt for choice tonight. Second half Meite, Rambo and Grant played very well. And obviously Tanner was superb when he came on. Thought JC looked back to his best again, but I’ve had to pick Siopis. He just seemed to be there every time to intercept or tackle the opponent. He was absolutely brilliant and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve once we finally click.

Shame there’s no option for the entire squad tonight, massive improvement on previous derbies fair play, gone for Ollie though, his goal was perfect and fought well after taking Ymir too, won us the pen too. Could have given it to Rambo, Goutas, Mcguiness or Siopis

I can't disagree, mate. First time I've seen him and reminded me of Billy Ronson on speed; all over the place! :ayatollah:

Chris, he’s like a terrier but he’s so calm on the ball with a great range of passing.

So many could have had it, thought JC was amazing, Rambo need I say more, but yeah siopis for me , he needs a song, think he will be key to how we play going forward, also well done bulut for bringing him in. Bring on the hangover tomorrow

Gone for Siopis but also thought McGuiness had a cracker.

I thought I’d be a lone voice suggesting siopis as others played so well too. But I’m clearly not. He was absolutely superb tonight. Totally dominated the midfield and allowed our attacking players the freedom they needed. What a signing he’s proving to be. The missing piece from our midfield for the last few seasons.

Siopsis for me. Collins was great too along with Ramsey.

Siopis by a country mile, didn't stop all game, best signing we have apart from Ramsey. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: great result tonight

Had to go with Tanner. He won us the game and once again was a breath of fresh air when he came on.

Also thought Siopis, McGuiness and Ramsey were brilliant tonight.

Tanner and Ramsey will rightly get votes.

But I thought Siopis was just outstanding. He was built for games like this and looks a quality signing.

Credit to All players
Many of which had their best game in a city shirt tonight
For me Aron Ramsey is still very much a premiership calibre player, that is playing in the championship

Rambo. Different level. Ice cold for the pen.

Tanner takes the headlines, but a great performance.

Siopis was everywhere..our most important player and a gap in these derbies for years!!!!

Ramsey is too good for this level when purring like this. I prey he makes a full season, if he doesnt, then watching him glide around in blue last night was a pleasure. Every game is a blessing from now with Rambo. One of our best, ever.

The back 5 were solid. Yes, against the poorest version of the Jacks we've seen for a while but still..

Grant run his nuts off. Meite's left boot has dynamite in it.

A strong bench to call upon, also. Great seeing Robbo!

Very happy with that!!

Wish there was an option to choose them all!

I would go for Miete though.

Tan his socks off and I think he shook their confidence enough to let others shine. Watching the game back, he had 3/4 players on him by the end of the game and was only denied 2/3 goals by cracking saves from their keeper.

Once he gets a goal his confidence will shoot and we will see goals on goals on goals I think.

Tanner - biggest performance of his career…so far!

Siopis - superb. I’m not sure Grimes will be the same player against us as he was in the past after last night.

I had to go for Ramsey. I couldn't make it tonight as i was ill so had to watch on TV (apart from lockdown the first home derby i have missed since my first one when Don Murray got sent off for flooring one of their players - McGloughlin?- in the Welsh cup) so you see it from a different perspective, but for me Ramsey was sheer class.

Agree 100 percent, completely bossed midfield and controlled the game

McGuinnes played well again in our back four but siopis and Ramsey were brilliant tanner provided the punch we needed with his goal but I’ll go with siopis for man of the match

I know football is all about opinions but I am struggling how Ollie Tanner can score more mom votes than the masterclass performance of Ramsey. He did score an amazing goal and created the other but that was it. He also got booked for a needless challenge. He did brilliantly and we couldn’t have asked more from him but did he really do more than Ramsey?
I will await the abuse for having an opinion

The whole squad were magnificent, but after a shaky start to the season, I thought Collins was superb last night, so giving it to him after his horror injury

No abuse from me, but Tanner changed the game. Splitting hairs though, any one of 6 or so could have got motm without any disagreement from me.

Just watched the match back on the TV after being in the stadium last night and Mark McGuiness was immense, obviously Tanner Ramsey and Siopis had great games but thought McGuiness was a rock.
