Word for the ref today...

Was a little worried as I'd never heard of him before, although I recognised him. A huge game, where I thought we'd have a name ref.

Whilst at times a little inconsistent with decisions, there was no drama or major talking points. Kept a lid on things with just two yellows, and let the game flow.

Certainly looked confident and one for the Premiership.

Agree - I was a bit concerned that most of the 50/50 decisions went their way, but he got the big calls right, so can't argue with that.

Thought he had a good game which is unusual for the refs we usually have.

Agree, he didn't panic or try and be the centre of attention.

Like you say, let the game flow and kept his cards in his pocket apart from the two times he didn't really have a choice.

Got the penalty decision right. An argument that the contact started outside the box but it then carried on inside the box.

Impressed with him, as you say I wouldn't be surprised if he's soon moved to the PL.

Managed the game really well.

A few little blips and awarding free kicks the wrong way but overall a great job. Think the grandstand side linesman had a bit of a mare too at times, especially the foul on Meite in the 1st half, he watches the jack defender drag Meite down by the shirt in the box then looked at the ref…..

He was slightly their way and missed a few obvious fouls but we've had worse.

Thought he had an excellent game.

He look very calm and where there were some questionable decision making was neither here or there.
