My take on last night.

Erol Bulut's team selection was spot on; right from the decision to reinstate Alnwick.

I take back my doubts about Mark McGuinness; he was colossal last night and has clearly worked on his passing. Goutas was generally solid but one or two shaky moments.

Jamilu Collins is growing into the season superbly. Him and Grant combined really well and worked their socks off together.

Ng and Wintle were ok and both solid in an extremely well organised side last night.

Meite, like Grant but slightly more so, was dynamic and dangerous and both their seasons will ignite after a goal each.

Rambo and that special touch maybe won’t dominate games so much anymore because of his age but will provide those moments of real quality. Make him skipper, he just loves the club!

Not convinced about Ike Ugbo; too lightweight and no hold up play. Bringing in Keiffer Moore or a similarly decent no.9 in January and surely top ten is in reach? Maybe being overly cautious there even?

Ollie Tanner, reminds me of Chris Waddle's languid style. He draws and goes past defenders effortlessly..and he’s only 21!

But I’m saving the best until last… Siopis; speedier Gary Medel! Everywhere last night and the heartbeat of the team. Superb passer too.

It’s little moments for me too. When Tanner scored, Siopis went straight over to Jamilu to credit him for the cross field pass. Classy and you could feel they just wanted it so much last night! And what an atmosphere, absolutely bouncing. Was this the best atmosphere since we moved to the CCS?
