I know that he was touted for a loan move away in the window just gone if we got another striker in.
TBH I'm happy he stayed. Scored 3 goals this season already (2 in cup)
No he's not the finished article but I feel he's improving especially end of last season and at least we are getting a few goals from him.
Weve had a lot of worse strikers over the last few years and I am looking forward to see what he can do

Wouldn’t disagree with this. Took his goal very very well and did well last night. An outlet from the bench with his height and running against tired defenders.

Credit to Bulut also, another inspired sub!

look Etete isn't a bad player, but he shouldn't be coming on, when we bring him on towards the end of a game, we seem to just lump the ball upto him, unfortunately he struggles to hold the ball up, get a good first touch or keep possession (last night he did okay to be fair) but what tends to happen is, we lump it long to him, lose the ball, and then we're under constant attack. I'll be happy to see him go out on loan in January, if we can bring someone else in

We'd already started lumping the ball up to no one before he came on.
At least when he was on he won a few headers and got some decent flick ons.

Took his goal really well.
Bulut said they've been having him doing shooting practice after training and you can tell.
He's still only 21 so has the potential to go on and do well.
I think we'll probably sign a striker in January and Etete will go on loan to League One, where he will play regularly which will do him some good.
Until then, he has to take his chances when he gets the opportunity and he did that last night.
Certainly not a player who should be written off as at 21, he will be nowhere near his full potential yet. Strikers tend to peak at a higher age than other positions.
