Ralls and Wintle

Great win today! I thought the defence were unreal and Alnwick.

I get why he might have played the 3 in the middle today. However, I think we looked so much better when it wasn’t ralls or wintle as a number 10 as they aren’t number 10s.

I think if Ramsey is missing I think Colwill or Robinson especially against Rotherham at home.

Just had this chat in my house and we came to the conclusion that there is not enough "dog" in Ruben or CR to play that ACM role away from home. Rambo is/was a talented "8" and knows how to knick the ball or just tackle (although I wince every time he does)

Correct, let’s all enjoy the ‘journey’ :bluebird:

Fwiw I think the correct midfield was selected to start the game given what we knew Sunderland would try and do.

We kept it tight and disciplined. That’s exactly what those guys can and will do. That allowed colwill to come on later when things were a bit more open.

Yeah that’s why I said I can see why he done it for an away game like todays but at home would love to see a number 10 in there.

No they aren’t no. 10’s and they weren’t played as no. 10’s!

He solidified the centre midfield as we were playing away against a very good and quick team.

I love a good no. 10 but today it was the perfect tactics by the manager.

I agree with your last sentence when we play Rotherham at home though.
