Erol Bulut spoke to the media after watching his side come away with a smash-and-grab victory over Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

Erol spoke about his side’s need to convert their opportunities and turn chances into goals, and assessed their progress from the early weeks of the campaign to now.

“The chances will come, and we have to finalise it. Today, we got the chance and we finalised it. Great work from all my players. We trained yesterday, and we did set pieces. We got the chance, and I’m glad that we did!

"When we look at the start of the season, we were leading in a few games but losing them, and lost points. Against the ball we didn’t work very well; there were some individual mistakes and the concentration was not how I liked it. We have trained really hard on that, and today was great.”

I think the fans have turned up in numbers.

For the home league games we’ve averaged 22,300 per game. That’s pretty good in my book.

Monty, joint 5th means nothing because we’re actually 7th.
Goal difference is as good as a point.
So for example we could finish joint 6th but actually be in 10th position so wouldn’t make the playoffs.

Beside all that, I think we’re doing really well at the moment and I’d be happy with a top half finish at the end of the season.

Things are looking up which is great news - confidence is everything so long may it continue.

I'd say the average attendance figure is skewed advantageously by the QPR and Jacks home games. We'll see how that looks come January.

40 more points and we'll be safe from relegation!

I will stop putting a positive spin on it then 7th it is as for attendances apart from swansea its been poor
mid week game against coventry half empty 18,000 officially looked not even that
Norwich game midweek on sky also
stadium was packed.

I’m just stating facts. The average home attendance is excellent so far.

I agree the Coventry attendance was a little disappointing. I was there and it was a shitty night and you don’t get the kids and parents there so that would explain it.

I’m happy with all of it so far. Especially the football as it’s mostly good to watch.

I am happy with the footy like i said and i know we are 7th but i am dissapointed with the attendances in comparison with similar like i pointed out norwich midweek game full stadium just pointing out a fact.
Looking forward to sat rotherham.

I’d say at this stage in proceedings joint 5th is extremely relevant as it suggests we’re on the same points total as the team in fifth place - thus making it easier to go above them - as opposed to several points behind. Naturally, on the last game of the season it would become irrelevant.

Growth mindset approach and all…
