Rotherham boss banned for Cardiff
Rotherham United manager Matt Taylor will be missing from Rotherham United's dugout tomorrow after picking up his third yellow card of the season during the Millers' 1-1 draw with Preston North End last weekend.
Speaking about the touchline ban, he said: "I've never been banned. It'll be different. I won't be stood on the touchline, I'm not allowed to enter the arena. I'll be in the director's box with the bigwigs, so to speak. But I'll have communication with the bench.
"I'll be able to speak to the players before the game, at half time and after the game. I just won't be able to go down to the touchline.
"In a strange way I'm looking forward to seeing us from high up. You'll be able to see the space better and get a better feel from a tactical aspect. But it's about competing and I'll be reminding the players of that before going upstairs."
Cardiff clearly had memorable games against Rotherham last year. They were leading at half time at the New York Stadium before a torrential downpour rendered the match abandoned at half time. The Bluebirds, then under Sabri Lamouchi, went up to Yorkshire again and earnt a precious win which all but secured their Championship status.
Taylor, however, believes the Bluebirds have kicked on again this term. "They are much improved and have a different dynamic," he said. "I went to the game last night against Blackburn Rovers in the cup. It’s sod’s law to an extent that they made 10 changes and it shows the strength of their squad.

Matt Taylor:
"Cardiff have a very fluid frontline and have a lot of quality elsewhere on the pitch. They are a team to admire from afar, but we have to take the game to them.”
