‘I didn't talk with the medical department, so I’m waiting also for the news. It was a rupture on his tendon, where he had an injury many years before and he got surgery. We have to see how they get it healed. Maybe an operation or not. We are waiting.’

Rupturing a tendon is not like straining a hamstring. It’s a big injury

Rupturing a tendon is highly likely to end his season. An op is likely, post op is normally braced for 6 to 8 weeks before anything else.

This would be horrendous news if correct.

Gutted for Rambo and City if this turns out to be a bad long term injury

It was always a gamble playing Rambo in the championship, hopefully the injury can be sorted in a short time frame, however I would plan not to have him until January 24 at best. The Transfer window must be utilised efficiently to the strengthen the team.

It's very much a question of whether his season is over or not. Never going to be 3 weeks to return. Best hope is he returns Jan/Feb but I suspect much longer. Such a shame but very predictable. At least his performance in the derby will live long in the memory.

Best case scenario complete rest for a few weeks back playing in 5-6 weeks

Worse case career ending…usually it’s about 4-6 months
