MISERABLE NEWS ON RAMSEY:

Aaron Ramsey will be out for up to 3 months:

Erol Bulut has issued a miserable Cardiff City injury update in which he stated that Aaron Ramsey will be out for at least two months, which means the Wales captain will miss the rest of the qualifying campaign.

Wales manager Rob Page on Wednesday said he was "confident" Ramsey, 32, would be available for the national team's November camp, after it was confirmed he was out of next week's games against Gibraltar and Croatia. However, Bulut has bad news for Cardiff fans, confirming he would be out for eight to 10 weeks, without surgery, due to his knee injury, however if he does go under the knife it will add a further three months to his recovery.

"Today I will tell you a little bit more about injuries. Aaron, we were talking about how many weeks he would be out, we were waiting also. But hopefully without surgery, he will be out at least eight to 10 weeks. If he does get surgery, it will be up to 12 weeks. If something happens in these weeks, it will add 12 weeks." Bulut said on Thursday afternoon.

Tbh with some of the ‘possibilities’ floating around re this injury I think 10-12 weeks is ok. Another positive is Collins will be ok for Saturday.

If we are to 6, or even top 10, in January a fully fit Ramsey will be beneficial to us. He will be like a new signing - in addition to those other new signings coming on board

The most worrying part is the part Ramsey might need an op meaning he’d be out longer, hopefully they revisit the option soon and see if it’s healing naturally or requires surgery. Worst part is waiting to find out

Wales captain Aaron Ramsey is out for a minimum of eight to 10 weeks with a ruptured tendon in his knee.

Wales will therefore be without the midfielder for their remaining European Championship qualifiers, against Croatia on 15 October and Armenia and Turkey in November.

The 32-year-old could yet require surgery that would significantly add to his return timeline.

Ramsey's club-mate Callum O'Dowda is also ruled out long term after surgery.

The Republic of Ireland international suffered a groin injury at the end of August and Cardiff boss Erol Bulut has revealed he underwent surgery this week.

Ramsey and O'Dowda's long-term issues add to Cardiff's already lengthy injury list, with forwards Yakou Meite and Kion Etete set to miss a month apiece with hamstring injuries suffered this week.

Bulut says the loss of talisman Ramsey is a big blow for the Bluebirds and Wales, and is hoping the ex-Arsenal man can avoid the surgeon's knife.

Ramsey has not played since 16 September having suffered the injury in training.

Injuries mount for Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut
"With Aaron we were waiting to see how long he would be out and were hopeful he would not need surgery," said Bulut.

"But right now, he will be out for at least eight to 10 weeks and if he needs surgery, it could be up to [an extra] 12 weeks.

"If something happens during his rehab, it could be that we will have to add 12 weeks.

"He is a key player for us for sure, you can see how well he links the game and of course we will miss him.

"But we have to manage with the players that we have.

"We have four main players from the squad who we cannot use."

We need to give someone the No10 position for a number of games now to keep some continuity going.I’d opt for Robinson.

No brainer for me. How we can keep one of our most talented players on the bench since Ramsey has been out has baffled me, though to be fair, Boro apart, league results have been good
