A Real Shock

Latvia beat Armenia. How the hell did we lose to the latter? Give us a chance now if Croatia win tonight

Two shocks in our group.

But feel for the Jocks, Ref was corrupt as f**k.

Agree, a very bad challenge on McGinn in the first half by Carvajal that should have been at least yellow but no free kick given.

Carvajal then booked later in the game, probably should have been his second yellow.

That goal by McTominay seemingly ruled out for a foul that was non existent, but now UEFA are saying it was for offside.

Very harsh on Scotland.

Croatia lose.

I don't think that changes anything for us, we have to win all our remaining three games. If we do, we will qualify because we will have the head to head advantage over Croatia.

On reflection you are right Worcester. Unbelievably it’s in our hands. We HAVE to win our 3 games - if we do we qualify. Very difficult but at least a chance. Our defeat to Armenia was the disaster.

Latvia 2 : 0 Armenia .

Croatia 0 : 1 Turkey .

A very slim chance of wining 3 games, unfortunately I don't think we will qualify this time around. We need to build for the Euro 28 and qualify for our own tournament. This starts by getting in a new manager.

I dont think its as simple as that because there will be 3 teams on the same number of points. We may all have head to head advantage against each other

If we beat Croatia we would defo go up because our head to head against them would be better. We drew over there.

if two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied:[4]

1) Higher number of points obtained in the matches played among the teams in question;
2) Superior goal difference in matches played among the teams in question;
3) Higher number of goals scored in the matches played among the teams in question;

4) If, after having applied criteria 1 to 3, teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 3 are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams in question to determine their final rankings.[a] If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 5 to 11 apply;

5) Superior goal difference in all group matches;
6) Higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
7) Higher number of away goals scored in all group matches;
8) Higher number of wins in all group matches;
9) Higher number of away wins in all group matches;
10)Fair play conduct in all group matches (1 point for a single yellow card, 3 points for a red card as a consequence of two yellow cards, 3 points for a direct red card, 4 points for a yellow card followed by a direct red card);
11)Position in the UEFA Nations League overall ranking.

Jeez. Let's just win the final 3 games, and then wait to see what the colour of underpants they want us to wear. :laughing5:

Reading that - and assuming the other teams win their remaining games against the other two - we will go through if we win our three games as we will have picked up 7 points, Turkey 6 and Croatia 4. Bif "if" though

Not such a big "If" as I thought as under this scenario Turkey will have qualified before they play us which has to help us. Have I got this right?
