Watching the last episode of the latest series of COBRA later tonight. Very impressed with it, all series.
Looking for something to watch after.
What's the best series you've seen lately?

Breaking Bad is a classic but I also rate the first 2 series of Fortitude.

Always enjoyed The Blacklist. Homeland without a doubt. Currently watching Fubar if you like Arnie it has action with a comedy undertone.

Tulsa, Reacher, Silo, recent ones, too many more to mention

The ones from your childhood are always fondly remembered.
How many remember these:
magic roundabout; animal magic;watch with mother(tales from the riverbank); andy pandy; bleep and booster; mary mungo and midge; double deckers; please sir; hectors house; Tom Grattans war; Robinson Crusoe (60's in black and white with iconic music);
And who could forget hiding behind the sofa watching "the singing ringing tree" (fairy tale from eastern Europe dubbed).
Or modern day series "Fauda" on netflix (not for everyone though Mmmmm!)
Tue Oct 17, 2023 3:46 pm
For comedy it has to be
"BRASSIC"
Just watched series 5
7 episodes.

Chigley, Trumpton, Camberwick Green.
You’re right about Fauda

I find with the exception of the peerless Breaking Bad most US series start off brilliantly but drag it out a season or two too many.
Mad men, Homeland & Walking dead lost it towards the end.
Just finished Ozark and got to the point in the last series where it got a bit too ridiculous with Wendy affecting prisoner releases, but i had committed to three and a bit series so had to finish it.
The Americans is a gem
Severence is weirdly adictive and dopesick is a mini series "must see".

Justified is possibly my favourite series of all time but like others I agree that The Americans is also superb, as is Man in the High Castle.
The Last Ship is also very watchable. It's about a global pandemic, which I finished viewing just before Covid struck !

Always interesting to see who likes what and why, it's all personal choice of course but if I had to choose a personal standout from the last 20 years, it would be Ashes To Ashes. There was talk of a third series but I understand that it got cancelled after pre production, which is a shame as it was superb and very popular.

If your kids have the Disney plus app there is a box set on there called Mr inbetween. One of my favourites...an aussie series about a guy who juggles fatherhood with being a contract killer. Really funny but dark as hell too. Check it out if you have 5 coz the first episode will suck u straight in, gauranteed!!!
