Injury prone Yakou Meite has said the club's drive to reach the Premier League again was one of the main reasons he signed in the summer.
Free agent Meite is yet to score for his new club but has put in some encouraging performances over the last few months as he returns from injury from the trip to Ewood Park tomorrow.
“As everyone knows, the fervour that reigns in the English championship is unparalleled," he told Les Titis du PSG "Once you taste it, it is very difficult to part with it. I have played against this club several times, so I know this team very well.
"Their ambition to return to the elite of English football convinced me to help them achieve this. The Cardiff City fans are also fantastic, they know how to create a great atmosphere in their stadium and wherever the team plays."
Meite is also a big personality off the pitch and in the changing room. His nickname 'La Brute' was coined while he was in the PSG academy and, speaking about his time in Paris, he said: "It’s still my nickname! I'm still the same player! The 'Brute' has not changed! I like to kick the ball, I love to create one-on-ones and above all, score goals. Even if this nickname may seem a little harsh to the general public, I remain a smiling player who enjoys practicing his greatest passion and who simply gives his all so that his team wins!"
