Very very sad news.
A complete footballing legend and, by all accounts, a great person.

RIP. seemed like a really nice guy. Given the weight of the old balls, he couldn't half welly it. Possibly the most powerful shot i've seen on a player.

Legend is often over used but for Bobby Charlton it us wholly deserved. Did he play against City? RIP

I don't know for sure but he probably would have played against us when we were in the first division in the late fifties/early sixties.
I remember seeing him when i was very young at Ninian Park in 1967 playing for England and as i was sitting in the front of the Canton being in being in complete awe at being so close to someone who was already a legend. He probably played a few more times after that for England at Ninian.
