MY VIEW / OPINION: CARDIFF CITY PUT UP A FAIRLY GOOD PERFORM

MY VIEW / OPINION: CARDIFF CITY PUT UP A FAIRLY GOOD PERFORMANCE & CARDIFF HAD A GOOD GOAL DISALLOWED / CAME AWAY WITH NOTHING.

1,000 City fans saw their team lose their 3rd game in 4 and now not win for 4 matches.

A little bit worrying.

Over all Blackburn were the better team and Cardiff only came alive once Robinson came on.

City hardly had a shot on target.

Yes Cardiff dominated the last 15 mins but way to late.

Blackburn Rovers had only won two and lost three of their five home matches this season.

FIRST-HALF: 38th min Goutas header put the ball in the net but disallowed. Grant offside.
Zero shots on goal by either side.

SECOND-HALF: 53rd min Goal for the hosts. Joe Rankin-Costello scored (1-0) City were now under pressure.
City were under big pressure for a while.
Bulut made three changes including bringing on Robinson.

77th min Robinson had a great chance went wide.

City improved with Robinson on and took control.

BLACKBURN 1 CARDIFF CITY 0

Cardiff City: Alnwick; Ng, McGuinness, Goutas, Collins; Siopis, Ralls, Wintle; Bowler, Ugbo, Grant.

Subs: Runarsson, Panzo, Romeo, Rinomhota, Adams, R. Colwill, Tanner, Meite, Robinson.

For me over all 0-0 fair.

H-T 0-0

1 nil down:

61st min Two changes for the #Bluebirds. Ollie Tanner is on first, replacing Josh Bowler. (1-0)
@Yaks75 was also on, with Iké Ugbo departing.

66th min Robinson on for Wintle.

77th min: Rubin Colwill came on for Ralls.

Poor for me
Playing like a lower half of the table team, which we are without Aron Ramsey

The championship needs VAR
We got robbed again .
Seems to me that robbo and colwill have been stripped of their confidence

EB needs to be brutal at Christmas, its a seller's market. We need a center-forward and if Robo and Ruben need to go then they need to go.

We desperately need an attacking midfielder who will do the leg work the manager requires, three CDM's is so negative but without a genuine centre forward to hold the ball up we are knackered anyway.

The ref was special, not one of their players appealed for anything for Goutas' goal

That's more or less what we are right now mid table for a reason. Roll on January.

The ref just nipped the title dogshit today for me over Ugbo who's still a fraudster stealing a living as a supposed professional footballer.

Eitherway we go again vs Huddersfield Tuesday.

We continue to fail to sign decent strikers, that is our problem.

Need another Siopis level midfielder as well.

Don't get the Colwill hype sorry, his brother looks a better prospect.

Robinson is too slow and not strong enough to lead the line.

We need a 1 in 3 or better striker. Not easy to find though.

I think this season is a building block for next year to be honest.

Bulut is a very conservative manager IMO and unless he starts taking more risk with his formations and who starts matches, we will slide down the table. Jury's well out on Bulut for me.

If he starts with the same personnel against Huddersfield, I think we'll lose that too.

Ugbo needs to be dropped and he needs to let the shackles off our creative players a bit.

When do you ever see flair players tracking back to defend? That's not their job! I don't buy this modern viewpoint that every player tracks back and defends from the front.

Bill Shankly once said…
A football team is like a piano. You need eight men to carry it and three who can play the damn thing.”

I think we need to start Colwill or Robbo from the start at Huddersfield, just lacking a fluent link and creativity.
I’d also give Meite a go up front.

That’s about the 3rd or 4th time we’ve only “come alive” in a game once Robinson starts. Errol needs to drop the dogma and play a better attacking line up from the start and then get his “runners” on later in the game.

If Robbo and Colwell don’t do enough in Erols eyes can someone factually enlighten me as to what Ugbo does in the chasing department when we’re not in possession.

Tuna pasta ur bang on .
But bulut using it as an excuse cos he doesn’t want robbo or colwill on the pitch , he has stripped the confidence from them

My Virw:

Robinson and Colwill should start and Bulut your wrong

Not Won for 4 games / 3 defeats

Let’s see how we do without them.

Don’t blast and humiliate players publicly

I think EB is in a bit of a dilemma.

He has a decent squad of inside forwards or second strikers and one attacking midfielder who has more miles on the clock than an adventure travel bus.

We do not have a championship grade Centre forward, Ettete shows promise but isn't going to carry a season on his back, especially against big good centre halfs. For a foreign coach, he seems to want a unit up top, so needs to go and get one ASAP.

We may as well sign Mo Farrah if the only credential to play up top is pressing and chasing back.

I said in the match thread that i have seen enough L1 strikers at our club to know one when i see one and Ugbo is one

Totally agree Annis , this excuse he’s using not to play them is bollox , and he’s messing with their confidence , they don’t look the same when they came on today , he shouldn’t be criticising them to public , it’s affecting them .
I’m having my doubts about bulut now ,the way he’s been with these players .
They should be starting next game

Bullet does not trust the players to try and win the game..he prefers to hang in there in the hope of sneaking a goal,to hang on to..looked far better after the changes ..to little and to late..

:bluebird: My View
Bulut has got it largely right. The team played reasonably well and deserved a draw. The ref had a pretty poor game.

As I have said on many occasions, Robinson does very little off the ball, and is nowhere near as good as he appears to think he is.(Most WBA fans were happy he left).
However, Ugbo also doesnt work hard enough and rarely puts in a meaningful challenge. I have now “given up” on him as well.
Both players should leave in January, provided Bulut can use the money to get better replacements.

At least Meite challenged and tried when he came on. Also, I thoughtTanner probably deserved a starting spot.

Today, we missed Etete upfront. He is young and improving, and is our best option at centre forward.shame he got injured as it may take him a few games to get up to speed. (And no doubt some on herw will unfairly slag him off again). :bluebird:
