Owner asks fans to give £100 each:

Tue Oct 31, 2023 11:17 am

Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has asked supporters to fund the £2m which the club needs to pay HMRC & player wages:

"If 20,000 people gave £100 then it's £2m and it'd be clear - so we can finish it. That would cover everything, HMRC & wages."

Wow they really are in trouble!!

What they need is a cunning plan to trick supporters into buying next years season tickets early by promising to buy players and then using it to pay the tax man…Can’t believe nobody has ever thought of that plan

Brilliant idea. It can’t fail. No chairman would go against his word so it’s foolproof

Well at least under an embargo he can't pretend it's to buy players

I'm not supprised he's stopped propping them up the abuse he and his family have got. The trouble is fans want millions on end spent every season and be top end of the table irrelevant of what's spent or whats on the pitch on matchday or its the old manager out and owner out chants, protests ect. If they was up the top end of the table nobody would voice anything vs the owner and most people know this. That's modern football with a new breed of a delusional fan base in my opinion.

We obviously got duped for the reasons but didn’t we also get a price freeze for 5 years ? I seem to remember being happy about the situation years after .
