' READING - ANOTHER WINDING UP ORDER TODAY '

Stuck at the bottom of league 1 and another notice issued today. No idea what's happening with their mysterious Chinese owner and if someone like Mike Ashley doesn't buy them or invest, league 2 beckons. I've never liked them as a club, sterile fans and awful ground, plus I really despised how they falsely accused us of racist chanting over the tannoy when we played them at theirs. It was all over the press and then they gave a pathetic apology once the damage was done. Karma and good riddance.

It is a Petition not an Order. It means that HMRC have applied to the insolvency court for a ruling at a future court date to grant an Order (i.e. put the club into liquidation) if Reading haven`t paid the HMRC debt or reached an agreement to pay it on or before the court hearing date.

Thanks, I should have read the headline! Seems like it's happened before and they find a payment at the last minute and the cycle continues. It shows you how quickly you can sink down the league's if things are mismanaged.

Probably thought he was more likely to get game time at that level, and thought Reading would be fighting for promotion!

I remember that, the Wales on Sunday's headline was about City fans racist chanting, our national paper doing a number on us. I've never bought the pitiful rag since. :bluescarf:

I was there with family and friends and we couldn't believe what was being announced as we looked around and shook our heads in disbelief at each other. It was beyond incompetent of the stadium management or stewards and actually a bit sinister, as it was obvious the media would be all over it, which they were. There was a mealy mouthed token apology when they were challenged about it but it's something I won't forget as it was both incendiary and an insult to our fans and club.
