A few questions..

Sun Nov 05, 2023 8:30 pm

Grimsby fan in peace here!
Cutting a long story short I've chosen Cardiff for my championship team to visit / support
In a prem to step 7 challenge I'm doing.
I'm coming up from the south west for the game on Saturday v Norwich.
Where's the best place to sit/stand for a good atmosphere (sing song)??
I'll be arriving at Cardiff Central at 12.22pm, any recommendations for pre match?
I'm hoping the weather is OK as I'd like to do the walk from the station and see the Millenium
Stadium (apologise I can't remember it's new name) it's been 15 years since I last went to it!

Thanks in advance and congrats on your start to the season, are you hoping for a play off push?
Score prediction :
Cardiff 3 1 Norwich.

I went to watch Grimsby at their place a few seasons ago. I took my daughter to visit her friend there so I decided to go and watch the match that afternoon against Chester. I sat in the stand where you could see the sea. It was a great view.

Where's the best place to sit/stand for a good atmosphere (sing song)?? - Canton Stand preferrable at the back.

Score prediction :
Cardiff 3 1 Norwich. :ayatollah:

If you cannot get into canton end the corner is usually available between canton and ninian stand and cheapest seats
Pubs
old arcade, rummer tavern, & the borough.

Hi mate,
Nice to hear we are being visited by a proper football fan.
You are most welcome to our club at Cardiff City and I hope you enjoy your day.

As already mentioned, our most vocal fans sit in the Canton stand behind the goal. Most of these seats are already sold.
However, one of my favourite areas is high up in block 109. Great view and well sheltered from any bad weather. Plenty of seats left at present, but don't delay. Again, as previously mentioned, it is in the corner of the Canton and Ninian stands. Prices are reasonable by todays standards and you should enjoy the atmosphere.

If, however you prefer a seat alongside the pitch instead of behind the goal, or corner, try the Ninian Stand.(blocks 113 to 116) Again, prices are pretty good although I should ask for a seat high up in the stand for a better view and avoiding the rain which blows in the lower half of the stand.

As you are arriving at Cardiff Central train station, the Millennium Stadium (renamed the Principality Stadium in 2016) is only five minutes walk away and easily visible on leaving the station.
Plenty of nice pubs in the city centre.
Cardiff City stadium is about half an hour walk away.

Enjoy you day and thanks for visiting our club. All the best! :bluescarf:
