Stoke City and Cardiff City join Leeds and Sunderland in striker transfer race -

These four second tier sides are in for the in-form forward

Hull City, Cardiff City, Bristol City, and Stoke City are all interested in signing AFC Wimbledon striker Ali Al-Hamadi in the January transfer window.
Al-Hamadi has shown his goalscoring ability and playmaking attributes, making him a well-rounded forward.
Stoke City, in particular, could benefit from signing Al-Hamadi as they have struggled to create and convert goal-scoring opportunities this season.

Journalist Darren Witcoop revealed that the four second tier sides are looking at bringing in the Iranian international in the January transfer window, with Leeds and Sunderland also said to be keen on the forward.

Football League World exclusively revealed that League One side Peterborough United had a bid rejected for the 21-year-old in the summer. Witcoop added that Barnsley had also seen an attempt to sign Al-Hamadi turned down, with the Dons wanting over £1 million for the striker.

I see he played at both Bromley and Swansea in previous years.

I think Ollie Tanner was at Bromley around the same time. I wonder if he has any input as to how good he is.

Bromley are a good feeding ground for players looking to get into the FL

He certainly is doing well at AFC Wimbledon and could be worth a punt if the price is right

My only concern is that the strikers that we've gone for in the recent past from the lower leagues who have been 'doing well' haven't actually turned out great signings.

Max Watters, Eoin Doyle, Alex Revell, James Collins etc

I know that nobody knows how a signing will turn out but it feels as though we've been there done that for L1 & L2 strikers.

I'd much rather look abroad for players. If we get a player that ends up with the ability of Goutas or Siopis then happy days

Tbh. I have a feeling Erol wants to make a go for promotion. So I am not sure the previous signings of “one for the future “ are the targets now.
We have one for the future who has scored goals at this level. Etete. We have a “brute”.
What we need is a proven goal scorer that can take us to the next level this season. I suspect the money will be better spent elsewhere.

Agree with a proven goal scorer than the above player ( so called linked ) if given the choice .
