Ojo 26 years old and Isaak Davies aged 22:
Ojo grabs Kortrijk a point after being 'unhappy' with finishing
Speaking of crucial interventions, Sheyi Ojo grabbed his first goal for KV Kortrijk at the weekend, earning the Vincent Tan-owned club a crucial point in the process and making amends after admitting he had been "unhappy" with his finishing for his loan team.
Isaak Davies had been getting the accolades for the west Flemish club, having netted three times since he joined in the summer transfer window. However, it was fellow Bluebirds loanee Ojo who stepped up for KVK when he netted in the first half.
RWD Molenbeek's Ilay Camara hit back eight minutes later, though, and the game ended in a draw. Speaking after the match, Ojo told reporters: “I told you I was going to score quickly! I was unhappy with my finishing several times in the last matches. The coach still thinks that I should shoot more, that is also true. I keep that in mind, but I am a player who prefers to serve my team-mates with a good pass.
"They had more ball possession. I thought we were good defensively and that we didn't create much offensively. You have those matches. It was difficult to go full throttle, because the boys were still tired from last week's match at Dender. We have to dominate the game more with the ball at our feet. Hopefully that will happen.”
Davies also started the match, but was hooked after 65 minutes.
