Spurs v Chelsea

Mon Nov 06, 2023 9:04 pm

If you're not watching this match, I suggest you put it on for the second half.

One of the most chaotic games I've ever seen and it's only half time.

All this in the first half:

Two goals

Three disallowed goals

Penalty

Red card

Two players injured for Spurs

Ned, this game has had everything so far and loving it...

2 goals, 4 disallowed, 2 sending offs and some 'old school' tackles...

The resilience of this 9-man Spurs side, who should have been out of sight after 15 minutes is laudible but there's still 20 mins plus added time (14 mins in the first half  ) to go...

Entertaining to say the least...!

Damn...!

A goal for Chelsea sees Spurs resolve broken for what could be their first defeat of the season and a number of players out for some time...

Ooooooohhhh!!!! :o

Spurs put the ball in the Chelsea net from a super Eric Dier volley; but it's the game's 5th disallowed goal of the game after he is deemed off-side...!

10 mins plus added time to go and this is still intriguing...!

Crazy game Chris.

Spurs were brilliant with their high risk football, although it cost them in the end as they got what looked like a thrashing but wasn't.

Wanted them to get something from the game.

Unbelievable stupidly really from Romero and Udogie that put them in that position.

A game that had everything.

Game over and what entertainment from Spurs, who never allowed Chelsea to settle until they scored their third followed by a fourth with a hat-trick from Jackson...

Credit Spurs who took the game by the scruff, lost their cool, and then battled with nine men and three injured, inc. Maddison...

FINAL SCORE: SPURS 1 - 4 CHELSEA

Jesus, highly paid Chelsea players couldn't break the off-side trap that was set on the halfway line for most of the game, then remembered you just have to pass it into space for a midfield runner

Not wonder people think professional footballers are thick, it took them nearly three quarters of the game to work out how to beat tehe offside trap. And listening to the 2 Chelsea players being interviewed after the game really confirmed it

It was, Ned; and I agree...! :ayatollah:

If I have a Premier League team I follow down the years, it is Spurs. I worked in the area many years ago, so got to see many of their games. Glenn Hoddle was 'the man' and there were many exciting players around him...

Over the years, I occasionally went back and was lucky enough to be at the game where Jurgen Klinsmann scored his opening goal for them and did that celebratory 'dive' after criticism of his antics before. I think the Spurs supporters agreed but accepted it because he was 'their' dirty, cheating diver...!

Most footballers are thick that's why they need a coach to tell them how to play and an agent to negotiate on their behalf.
